My expectations for German 110

With taking this course I plan on learning as much about Germany as I can. Just from the first day of class of about an hour learning about Germany I learned way more than I already knew. I am very interested in learning about the true German culture and actually learning about Germany not just about the wars that took place, which is often all that is taught and talked about in regards to Germany. I am aware that in different parts of Germany it is like a whole different country, therefor I am looking forward to learning about the food that is eaten in different parts and what people do for fun in Germany. I know their National soccer team in the FIFA World Cup is always a dominant force and I am interested to learn more about what it is that people do in Germany for exercise and their lifestyles, how they move. What makes it such a popular place and from those who have lived there in their opinion, what makes it so great? I look forward to learning as much as I can in this course as I'm sure it will be a very fun and interesting semester!
